Searching for a (Dream) Job

doorway

I’m feeling a little discouraged today as I desperately try to find a job. I need one as soon as possible, but I’m finding it hard to let go of the yearning for that “perfect” job (which I don’t think lies in my immediate future). The problem is: I don’t know exactly what it is I want to do. I want to work somewhere I can feel I’m having a positive impact and I would love to be doing something creative. I guess my true dream job would be to live like those quirky lady authors at the turn-of-the-century. I would find some little cottage in the country where I could write in a garden and live a somewhat hermit-like lifestyle. That sounds so lovely…

This would also be an inspiring space to work in!

  1. for me, work is just a means of making income … my true passion is in composing music. I would prefer to have that as a side hobby, something I do when I feel inspired, rather than an ‘on-demand’ function. Money + passion clearly separated in this case. :-)

    good luck on finding work!

  2. oh, i just love the first and last pictures…as for my dream job…you already know! it’s nearly the same as yours! :D

  3. Agreed. My dream job would be just like yours. Time to make this a reality!

  4. thanks for visiting my blog so I got a chance to find yours! Love the pictures–wouldn’t it be great to live in a place like this? If only someone else would clean it.

I’d love to write. But I also want to eat; so I stick with what I’m doing. Hope you find the dream job–looking forward to hearing what it is!
