There are so many things that I love about fall. Among them: jackets, scarves, and BOOTS! I’m a pretty tall girl and I have somewhat -eh hem- long feet. I’ve made peace with them long ago, but it doesn’t change the fact that larger shoes can be difficult to find. (in actual stores that is) I’m not a big “shoe girl”, but for years I have planned to allow myself to “invest” in a grand pair of quality boots that I know I will wear for years. Here are some that I particularly love even though most are still far beyond my investment range…
My tastes particularly gravitate toward the Victorian and I really just can’t resist buttons on shoes. What do you think?
And just one non-buttoned beauty
I think my favorites are the second to last pair. I prefer flat shoes and those are just about perfect!

I agree! The second to last pair are my first favorite, then the last. They are flat (a must if i plan to wear them more than twice!!) and I’m slightly-very obsessed with buttons. Where are they from>!? I’m all about investing in boots.
Ooops. I forgot to mention earlier Kiera that you can click on any of the boots to link back to the original source. I think perhaps I am going to need that pair too…
I’ve always delighted in wearing flat boots with an equestrian flair, and an added twist of buttons for detail is always a delicious embellishment. Of course, to me, the boots are made just a touch lovelier in shades of Bordeaux or chestnut. I usually color my hair a pale shade of chestnut to match my autumn/winter wardrobe.
Oh yes, Nordstrom’s Matisse ‘Benjamin’ Tall Boot wins hands down. Although, I’ve also spotted an interesting Brazilian pampas looking boot via Anthropologie (http://www.anthropologie.com). They’re called Winding Ruffle Boots. Although I must say, I love ‘Benjamin’ more! ;)
Yes Lisa! Athro’s ruffle boots were actually the inspiration for this post! I ended up not including them only because I later became seduced by buttons… But that pair is quite lovely.
That’s it…I’m getting some new boots this fall.
Yep, I am with you and Kiera. The second to last is my favorite and then the last. GO – FOR – IT.
