Forgotten Theatre

I had this wonderful dream a very long time ago about a theatre. I was standing in the back balcony looking down and it was old and mysterious. There was a  large tear in the ceiling and the dust particles hung thick in the stray sunlight. It was absolutely magical and I have always secretly thought that maybe someday I would stumble across that place.

I think this picture is so beautiful. It reminds me a little of that place in my dream…

The Abandoned Bridge and a Week of Adventures

For a jobless former student my life has gotten a little busy lately! My younger brother just recently returned “home” with his lovely fiance and they have been spending a lot of time with Aaron and I until they were able to find a house. Now that they have found a rather amazing one we will be a little lonely without them! This week my younger brother and I spent a day car shopping with our sister, we have driven all over the Northern Seattle area for various house hunting and job related errands, I had a promising job interview, I worked on my Etsy shop creations, and we spent an afternoon in my city and took pictures at this abandoned bridge which never ceases to fascinate me.

Yesterday Aaron and I headed out to the coast, but we were bitterly disappointed to leave our neighborhood which was reaching the upper 80s to find a dreary overcast beach of nearly 55 degrees! We weren’t at all prepared for it and it was very cold. Our planned day of kite flying and a sandy picnic was reduced to eating in the car overlooking the depressing coastline and the venturing out for a short while to toss the Frisbee. (Which we ironically realized later was printed with the words “the kite”) We headed back home for a local baseball game and then watched Pineapple Express before calling it a day. The day was not what we expected, but still OK. The movie was quite funny! At day’s end I looked at him and said, “I had a nice crappy day with you!” And so we did…

What adventures will this week hold? My brother and I are secretly hoping we won’t start our new potential jobs before we get a chance to spend a day at the zoo… How was your weekend?

The Cello: The Souls Voice

I have always promised myself that I will learn to play the cello before I die. I have a violin so I need to learn that first. Unfortunately, an apartment is not the most accommodating place for acquiring new musical skills. Eventually I will be back in a house. Wherever and whenever this happens it must have a music room. I can’t wait for the day I will be reunited with my piano…

Aren’t these images inspiring? What music are you listening to these days?

And if I were to ever get a tattoo it would look something like this piece by Man Ray …
